Hello Everyone!

Well, again not much to post about.

But I will say a big Thank You to Devonia @ Many Shades of Shabby. She emailed me to ask if she could re-post my post about my Pink Roses.

I have been hard working on some "very pretty things" to add to my Etsy shop.

I was planning on going yard saleing tomorrow...but I have a gluten free cake to make and decorate. Not that I don't want to make it. I love being able to make a cake for someone who has Celiac's Disease. (it's when you can't have gluten protien found in wheat and other grains) Very serious for some. Most Bakeries can't and won't do it.

Added my second side bar....

Well, I added my second side bar. But now I can't get the roses picture in the background. Oh Well, I guess I will have to live with it.

I have been working on some handmade items for my Etsy shop. I have decided to open it up on Monday, April 14th. That would have been my grandmother's 99th birthday. Since, I am sewing again...mainly because of her...I thought it would be an great thing to do. It's days like today I really miss her. It's rainy and quite...with the exception of the kids screaming every so often...LOL!!!

The following is the last picture I took of my grandmother. It was taken 2 months before she died. That's my daughter giving her a kiss.

I have spent some time trying for figure out how to make a second sidebar on the right side of this blog. I am getting really upset about it. It really shouldn't be hard to do. Since, it is suppost to be easy...I really don't want to pay someone to do it.

So if anyone out there can help me...Please post a comment about it. I am considering moving my blog to another site...I don't want to...but I might.

My "another thing" is that I have decided to open a ETSY shop! I'm not sure exactly when I'll do it...but I have plans in the works. I hope when it does open....you'll visit.

My slipcovers finally came in!!!

We have had this Sofa and loveseat for 12 years.

Here is the after.....What do you think? The slipcovers have lots for wrinkles in them that you can't see...but I think I will learn to love them...LOL!

Does anyone have suggestions to add...like what color pillows I should add to this?

I can't believe it's been a week!

I can't believe it has been a week already. Time has sure gone by fast. Nothing much has happend this week...or I would have posted something...LOL! My children are working on home-made Valentines and I'm still waiting for my slipcovers. They should be here on Monday. The weather here has been so nice. It's been sunny and in the mid 60's. My children have been playing outside and the bees are out buzzing. But it won't be for long. It' will get cold again before it really starts to warm. I live in an area where we have short winters. Which reminds me...I need to start my seeds for my garden. Every year I try to start a garden from seed. I did pretty good last year...but when the 100 degree weather hits...I lose my plants. I don't have a sprinkler system in the back yard...so I end up killing them because I forget to water. I know, I'm to blame. But every year I keep trying. Some day I will have the money to have a system put in. I keep telling myself...some day.

God is Good...Life is Good...Happiness is always the result.

Here it is...that folding table and chair set I bought last week at an estate sale for $12.50. What a bargin.

I am in the process of updating my home. So, in the next few weeks I'll post before and after pictures. I have purchased slipcovers for my Couch, loveseat and that brown chair in the background. I am also going to paint those bookcases white. I wanted to paint the fireplace white too, but my husband forbids me to do it....so I guess I won't.

Well, it's Saturday and I have house cleaning to do. It's raining outside and I really don't feel like going out. I will...but I don't want to. Can you tell I don't have much to write about today...LOL!

My new favorite store...

I was allowed out yesturday...LOL! I had been meaning to check out an arcitectual salvage store in our town. I have been wanting to do this for like...3 years. I know I am so bad at getting stuff done. Anyway, I finally made it there....Oh My! It was amazing. They had doors and windows and metal fencing. They had cast iron tubs and mantels and medicine cabinets. These were all things taken from old buldings that were being torn down. They had old fabrics and trims...oh and old photos and door knobs (glass & metal) I was really in a good place there...LOL! If you need or wanted it...it was there. I wish I had taken my camera so, I could post a picture. I just thought I would post a little something about my excursion. I didn't get anything because, I need to measure the space before I buy. When I do...I post a picture. Oh I haven't for got about the folding table and chair set. I'll post that this weekend. Have a great one!!!
